why does it cost so much to search for birth parents?

   well… one thing… your birth parents could be anywhere!!! and thats a lot of people to look through… also… it takes lots of records and time to find your birth parents…much much time… and like the people up there that answered… some people just dont want to be found.

   This might sound really harsh… I don’t know how to say it nicely though since I am a stranger and you don’t know that I don’t mean any harm…

   SO on that note. It might be because the majority of people don’t want to be found. They might not want to live with the guilt that they couldn’t cut it. They might be afraid of the fact that the person who was adopted will try to come back int their lives. They might be into drugs or something illegal. OR they just might have thought that when they went through with the adoption that it was all over.

   i can’t say that I know what you are going through cause I have no clue. BUT I can say this. I wish you luck in the journey that you are taking. It is a hard life to live when you don’t have all of the pieces to "who you are"
