Why do people not research getting a pet before the fact?
People please research the pet you are going to get before "getting it" it could be a dog, cat, mouse, whatever? please do a search before getting it.No excuses we have internet now to RESEARCH!
Many of these designer dogs you want to dress in pink are not the most socialized dogs(nasty) so when you realize this work with it don’t give to shelters. The very cute designer breeds need grooming….costs money per month….what I’m trying to say is Please people RESearch the breed bofore purchasing and DON"T PURCHASE FROM PET STORES ONLY BREEDERS.You will most likely be able to see both parents .Do a www.akc.org search first dogs,blah,blah…..just be responsible please.Spay and neuter..Thanks………..

Most people dont research having kids and put very little thought into it they just pop em out…and you expect them to put more thought into a pet? Good Luck.
I agree. Thanks for the post!
I couldn’t have said it better!! I actually work with exotics and we have so many due to having to rescue them because people DON’T research them. They think it would be so cool to have an exotic, then get in over their heads with the animal. Good post!
they just want one to have. to them its easy to take care of a pet.
Ahhh my 2 daughters want either a rabbit or a ferret, or a hamster, or a guinea pig…..Ages 9 and 7….so in order for me to even consider a pet for them (I have 2 dogs that I take care of myself), they have to research all of the types of animals they like, as well as care for the 2 dogs we have now, and keep up with their school work/chores. In about a month we will go over what they have learned about the animals, and decide if they are responsible enough to handle the responsibility….I doubt it.
You are totally right! I 100% agree with you. There are too many people out there that get pets without researching and end up not being able to take care of it. That’s unacceptable and I hope everyone learns to research the pet they want before getting it!
I have to agree with you. Most people don’t realize what owning a pet involves. Some are just eager to have something warm and furry as their friend. I really wish people wouldn’t just impulse buy.
