I'm sorry for your situations, but life is hard on everyone. Yes, you've made mistakes in the past. Luckily, you don't have children, so be sure not to have one anytime soon. You can screw up your life, but don't screw up someone's life that depends on you. Well, you're ahead of a lot of kids who can't get into college and who do have children to take care of it. Make a resolution on your birthday to be a much better man from that point on and try to do better. You don't want to be 40 and still working for minimum wage in grocery store. You do have to work hard for what you want and life's not easy. Also, you seem depressed. Try to put the past behind you because you can't change what has already happened. You can make sure you don't repeat those mistakes in the future. Buy a journal and write it in it. It helps when you want to vent about life. Also, while you're living with mom take that opportunity to get as much school finished as possible and your school might help you get a job. My college degree definitely opens doors for me, and I've even gotten comments from employers who told me that I went to good school. You'll need some kind of schooling if you really want to be successful in life. Yes, you can be successful without it, but your chances are higher if you have a degree or some kind of schooling. It's easy to take up what everyone else wants you to major in, or what you think has the most potential to make a lot of money after graduation. Don't do that. Take up what you've always wanted to do in life, because you'll be happier when you do.

You need help beyond what some stranger on Yahoo Answers can tell you. You need to evaluate your life, and if you have depression you need to see a doctor. You are not a bad person, you have had bad things happen to you. You are not alone in the world.
