I’m on the never ending search for a hobby. Something a little more productive than computer or reading books (about people doing productive things). There should just be a long list of lesser known hobbies…
I used to make little sculptures out of polymer clay. You can only make so many little penguins before you get bored and have no more ideas.
I can sew, sort of. I have the ability and the materials to sew, both by hand and machine, but long lengths of fabric annoy me and I have no idea how to use a pattern, so I usually just make little things out of scrap fabric and my own patterns (little stuffed animals, doll clothes, once I made a wand carrier for my harry potter obsessed friend)
I really want to try archery. But my mom doesn’t want to buy a bow if I don’t take a class and I refuse to take a hunting class (Why can’t the people from the renaissance festival offer classes?)
I like pottery, and the first time using a pottery wheel I didn’t totally fail, and it was fun, but buying a wheel costs more than my mom is willing to spend
All sports I have tried… Yeah, major fail. I cannot throw, catch or run to save my life, the only dance classes in my area is run by some one I really don’t like, and I’m not exactly a team person. I sort of liked soccer, but the only time I ever played was when I was in 4th/5th grade where you are less likely to get hurt.
Chorus = NO. Due to several experiences, I have learned to understand that the actual song is given to the people with squeaky, annoying voices who you can barely hear singing and the people who can actually sing are told to repeat a line for the whole song and be quieter so you can hear the other people sing. Plus groups of people singing is annoying.
Gardening is only at a specific time. I’ll be hobby-less in the winter.
Collecting requires spending and then just boring displaying. Yawn.
Is it that hard to find a hobby that doesn’t cost a lot of money, you don’t need to drive to all the time, and you could maybe talk to people who have the same hobby? Just suggest anything (Except hobby quizzes. I took a few of them and they were terrible. One told me I should start smoking weed.)
Oh, and knitting is boring, jewelry making is irritating, and I don’t have enough pictures for Scrapbooking (and its boring)
@Tom Felton: ROLLER SKATING AHHHH! (I’d fall down and hurt myself if I wasn’t too chicken to actually skate. Which stinks cause its one of the few interesting things to do within like 8 minutes to my house) And ice skating, I know how, but bad ankles run in the family, so I usually get a seriously sprained ankle (exactly why I’m not in ballet). And last time I went I fell and had like an epic fail moment.
OMG REMOTE CONTROLLED HELICOPTER!!! But that would probably get old fast..
