and yes i know we had a choice to write about why we should or why we shouldnt be in iraq and i got picked why we shouldnt be there so dont yell at me and say i dont support are troops cuz i do that said

Iraq War

The Iraq war has been the most talked about issue in recent years. The Iraq war was supposed to be just to find the weapons of mass destruction. Started in 2003 the United States has been in Iraq for 5 years and still they have not found any weapons of mass destruction. In April 2003 the United States had a big break through; they found Saddam Hussein the president of Iraq in 2003. Even though that the United States will continue the search for any weapons of mass destruction the cost of this will be the death of thousands of soldiers and more and more years in Iraq looking for something that is not there.
On April 14, 2005. The bush administration thought that the 9/11 attacks also included Saddam Hussein, the dictator of Iraq, he had contacts with Al Qaeda, and used severe weapons of mass destruction few years back against Kuwait 1992. After 14 years the Us Government realized that saddam is a threat for them, so they attacked the whole Iraq to capture Saddam. They killed millions of innocent people. So many innocent people were sent to Guantanamo jail, many died there and many are still there. The real reason for this war was OIL. Iraq was and Still rich in oil. The bush administration and its Allies on the war against terror benefited the most from Iraq War, by seizing all the Iraqi oil Centers. Without anyone permission and know edge, billions of tons of oil was sent to America, In the Oil refineries of Bush. Still the USA forces are there, no one knows when they will come back, but for sure they destroyed the beauty and independent of Iraq. Bush said that he wanted to free the people of Iraq from Saddam;s cursed rule, but now the people of Iraq are living the life of pain, many innocent people have died, houses infrastructure is ruined.
During the years that America has been in Iraq we have not found one trace of any weapons of mass destruction. We have been in Iraq for 5 years and during those years America had one of the biggest finds. They found Saddam Hussein the evil dictator that ruled Iraq in 2003. During Saddam’s rain of terror on his people and other he was supposed to be giving the terrorist weapons and helping them target people. But Saddam said that he had no connections with terrorist and stated that he was not killing his own people. During the Bush Era (Senior) the United States aided and gave over weapons to Iraq for help. After finding out that Saddam was killing his people the Bush administration had declared that they need to go in Iraq and get back the weapons they gave and get Saddam out of power. After landing in Iraq for the first time aka Desert Storm the United States could not find Saddam at all then they decided that the best thing is to just leave and just watch and wait till he makes a move. For years the United States has waited and after the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center and after we had invaded Iraq once again, the United States has found Saddam and was sent to death. In 2007 Saddam was hung with the world watching.
The main reason we are in Iraq is because there is a rumor that Iraq has weapons of mass destruction and that they will fire on anyone at any moment. On 9/11/01 the Twin Towers where hit by 3 Airplanes and one hit the pentagon. When they found out what happened a group high jacked the planes and flew them into the towers. The group was called saduiarabia from Iraq lead by Osama Bin Linden. After the attacks where done and the nation hurting form the lose of American lives the president- George W. Bust Jr.- asked congress to invade Iraq to find these terrorist and bring them to justice. With the approval of Congress the United States with the help of England they invaded Iraq in April of 2003.
As the years have past since the United States has invaded Iraq and hasn’t found anything that they are looking for. There main mission is to find the weapons of mass destruction and to recover them. In there years they have not found one weapon that Iraq had. After the try and fail act they decided to start looking for Bin Linden after failing to find any weapons of mass destruction. The United States has not found any clues where to look first. The only rumor is that Bin Linden is getting more people for his group and is ready to attack America soon or any other country that stands in his way. The other rumor is that he is gravely sick and is in critically conduction. But theses are only rumors that people in Iraq feed to the United States.
Since America has been Iraq the death toll has been raising up each and every day since we have been there. The death toll is at 4029 American soldiers have died, which will never see home again. On average that’s about 2.7 Americans dying each day. That’s a rather high

If Bush were a true conservative he would never allow the government to run huge budget deficits year after year like he has done. He would have never taken us into a war in Iraq preemptively without our allies sharing the cost, especially when there was in fact, no immediate threat to the US. Its funny how quickly the war in Iraq started off as a search for WMD but turned into a mission the free the Iraqi people. If Bush was a true conservative, he would not be advocating and passing legislation that increases the size and power of the federal government. He would not be sticking the states with large un-funded mandates. And he would not be trying to create a huge new federal bureaucracy who’s unconstitutional goal is to fund religious organizations that offer social services in place of social programs that his budgets have cut. And yet, SO many conservatives worship this man. Does partisanism really make people this blind? Liberals are just as bad, but one question at a time.
Coach – YOU need the facts. Bush raised the deficit by 5 trillion dollars. While naturally there is a need to higher expenditure, this level of expenditure is NOT justified. It’s not just the war and terrorism that is the problem, Bush’s administration is a fiscal disaster.

I know he more or less is a social conservative, but I’m not 100% sold. I feel like he doesn’t respect the constitution like a conservative should. And really, if you are just a social conservative, then to be an effective president, you need to actually DO something. All he has done is successfully delay the granting of gay marriage. THATS IT. Is this a reason to celebrate him?

Also, since he has raised the deficit by 5 trillion dollars, he is an economic failure. You can point to an occasional economic success here and there, but he HAS failed miserably econmocially.

Oh well. Hopefully republicans pick someone better next time. Its almost over.
One more thing guys, thanks to most of you for providing BALANCED answers. It’s not too often I get reasonable, intelligent, balanced opinions in the politcs section on here.
