Ok here goes my husband was adopted 42 years ago we found his birth mom a year ago haven’t met her yet but she has given us the name of the birth dad and doesn’t have alot of info otherwise. The man I am looking for was a former police officer I think Pensylvania. She gave me the name of the uncle who is a former country singing star. I found this man of all places living in a Howard Johnson suites in CA. I spoke to him and he told me he had no idea of who I was talking about or anything like that. The problem is the name of the birth dad is so common that it makes it even more difficult. I figured tracking down the birth uncle would make things easier but didn’t get anywhere.I have been helping my husband search for this man for over 13 years. I pray he is still alive.Don’t have the money to do the PI again, to find his mom it cost us 00 and 12 1/2 years to find. We have used several adoption groups with no leads.He is not listed on the birth certificate so that was no help.
Ok I guess I should add more info. My husband was placed for adoption when he was 4 days his birthmom doesn’t remember to much she is in her late 70′s.No adoption agency was involved, private through docs office, worked with several adoption groups who have helped tremendously with his mom search. No info, soc number or otherwise only the name.No father listed on birth certificate.Spoken at great length with his birthmom all she remembers is bits and pieces.She knows more about the birth uncle whom I already tracked down his name is Jerry Wallace and he was of no help just said he didn’t know anyone. Not new to the search thing as it took us 12 1/2 years of searching and alot of lies from his adopted family who failed to tell he was adopted till he was almost 14.
Oh and he was adopted out of the state of PA the toughest state in America to get any information out of at all and sicnce no father listed really no hope of any info there. PA is firm in there sealed records.Petitioned the court for his birthmoms info and were denied by the court even with needing medical info since we have a special needs child. If you have to be adopted or are an adoptee pray you are not born in the state of PA. Tough no matter what and will always be tough because of our founding fathers. Bless their soles.
