Reverse lookup a cell phone number for free?
I had someone call me from a cell phone that came up as unlisted. Can you reverse lookup a cell phone number for free? I see a lot of cell phone number lookup sites but they all seem to charge for the service.

Yes, unfortunately, if the company is reputable and will give you up-to-date and accurate information, they can’t be free. The only reason they can provide accurate info is because they pay the cell phone carriers to obtain accurate info, since cell phone info is not public. So, they have to charge users a small, one-time fee in order to cover their costs. I have yet to find a reliable free service online. The service below is pretty accurate.
I have searched around awhile back to see if I could find a source for free cell phone number lookups but found only a few that provided results when using their free services.
Most of these companies want you to pay a one time fee to get a comprehensive cell phone number report. But the good thing about their services is that some also provide background checks on people for that one time fee.
This was kind of addicting as you can run different names of people you know to see what kind of info you can find on them. Especially usefull if you hire babysitters and other home improvement type services.
So if you are looking for a strictly free reverse lookup cell phone number service you may have a problem finding anyone that is completely free. I did find one site with an article on it about free cell number lookups that may help as they do review some different services. See my resource box below for the url…
just do a reverse caller id on them.

There are no truly free sites as cell phone records are NOT public records. To get the information requires that records searches be performed by a legitimate agency and they DO charge for this. You will find all kinds of sites that claim to be "free" but all you will get for free is the city and state. I have tried my personal cell phone number in many of these sites and they do not give correct info even at that. They usually come back and tell me that it is a landline number, which I know it is not
