The Launch videos won’t play because you probably don’t have an updated version of flash on your computer. Basically flash is the program that runs virtually all video on the internet. To get flash go http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/. Its free and will install itself, just follow the instructions. Another thing that makes the internet more fun is to have a highspeed internet access. These can be obtained through your local cable provider or telephone service such as Verizon or Comcast. With a highspeed connection watching video and playing games online is much more enjoyable. If those are not options for you there are lots of inexpensive games you can buy at your local electronics store but again the flash program is free so at least that is a step in the right direction.

You could try Yahoo! Games. Other sites for games include Miniclip, and Newgrounds (some adult material). You can also try listing services such as Addcitinggames.com, and Fetchfido.co.uk. I won’t include the links to those sites because they’re self explanatory.

A Highspeed internet connection is recommended for Miniclip and Newgrounds.

Check with your city’s phone book to see if there are any computer clubs nearby. You can also check with your local public library to see if they know of any. They’re a great way for anyone who’s a novice with computers to get good advice and help from other users.

ME came with PCs that are still good for most on-line content.
So there is no hardware reason why videos won’t play: to increase chance that more video sites play?

You can install additional codecs (they help Your player to read and transcript videos – there is more than one way to encode the videos)

e. g. from http://www.filehungry.com/show/codecs

Best chose codec collections and it should state that they are free or freeware.

You download them, remember where they are on Your hard disc drive and then start install by double clicking the installer. Your video player will normally automatically use them.

You can also add other players such as Apple Quicktime, Macromedia Flash… if they are not installed already.
They also read common and fun web content and videos.

p. s. 30 – i got my 1st PC later than You – so there is still hope
