Have you tried going through each search engine's site registration process? While you won't show up as high as if you paid a third party to assure that you pop up first, you will get more hits. I do OK there with my little business, and I only sell one type of thing! Not enough for me to make a living, but then all of my stuff is hand made and I don't think I could keep up with a higher demand. So I only clear about $200 in profit a month. I have a basic store and that runs about $25 a month (not including sales fees). A lot of vendors use eBay & Overstock as a way to get people to visit their on-line store where they offer a wider variety of items. Have you tried eBay or Overstock.com?
