Do I have to give my products away to get people to visit my web store?
I’ve tried marketing both online and off for years.I hear about people making a good living selling online. I’ve tried the :Affiliated Programs" with no success. I’ve offered prces below wholesale on occasion but I still get very little hits and little sale.
I’ve tried giving some products practically away. Still my hits are low. I’ve tried some email and search engine marketing with little success.
II am not one to give up. I have recently opened a brand new online store. If anyone out there have used a proven marketing concept that is reasonable in cost and is getting a lot of online visitors come to their web store as a result and is having a tremendous success, please be kind enough to share your secrets with me. I would really appreciate it.

Are you getting hits but no sales, or just not enough hits?
Have you tried going through each search engine’s site registration process? While you won’t show up as high as if you paid a third party to assure that you pop up first, you will get more hits.
Is it possible that folks just don’t want what you are selling? Are you charging too much for freight?
Have you tried eBay or Overstock.com? I do OK there with my little business, and I only sell one type of thing! Not enough for me to make a living, but then all of my stuff is hand made and I don’t think I could keep up with a higher demand. So I only clear about $200 in profit a month. I have a basic store and that runs about $25 a month (not including sales fees). A lot of vendors use eBay & Overstock as a way to get people to visit their on-line store where they offer a wider variety of items.
