Anyone else fed up with Ebay right now?
I am getting fed up with Ebay! With all of their new rules taking effect, I am getting confused, not to mention mad. No more bad feedback for buyers even if they wait a month to pay, if you DSR falls below 4.3, you get kicked off. I charge the exact amount for what it costs to ship and because some people just mark whatever they feel, my listings are in the lowered (to search) because my shipping DSR is down. Ebay is going off of buyer’s opinion? And in a month, only Paypal, etc will be used???? Some people do not like having their bank info on the internet. Everything that EBay is doing doesn’t even sound legal. I would like to sell on another auction site, does anyone know of a good one? I am not a big-time seller, just a small seller who sells things out of her house, clothes, kitchen access., baby items, etc. My questions are is anyone else fed up with Ebay, is anyone really going to take a stand and go somewhere else, and what are some other auction sites that are okay? Or does anyone else want to rant? LOL Thanks in advance for your answers!

What is a DSR?
You have some choices:
1. you can continue to rant and do nothing about your situation.
2. you can move to another selling venue – none are as successful as Ebay.
3. you can learn more about Ebay’s new policies and change your selling and pricing strategies to accommodate the new policies.
There will not be a mass exodus of Ebay sellers. That is just not going to happen. Ebay has too many customers for sellers to cut off their own hands that way. Read Griff’s newletter and he will give you suggestions on how to work with the changes.
Try adding $1 to the price of your item and subtracting that dollar from your shipping charge. That might get you better DSR’s in shipping cost.
Yes, I am very fed up! I, too, am a small seller and we are the ones who are really getting kicked when we are down. I have actually offered FREE shipping, got it to the buyer in 2 days and got my stars "dinged" as they say. Why? Who knows? And this was a person who said ‘great seller’. What a joke. I was reading a comment on the boards where a buyer was saying " I never give 5′s. No one’s perfect!" I have signed up with a few other sites epier and amazon, but have not sold anything. I just don’t have the time to start over somewhere else – learning how things are done there. I may though if this garbage continues. It is getting ridiculous! I have had so many people try to buy then back out, along with all kinds of other crazy questions that I just don’t think buyers would ask if they were going to get feedback themselves. I’m starting to question eBay’s security lately too. I have know several people who have had their accounts hijacked lately then eBay is a total pain about helping them. I don’t know why I bother sometimes. I guess I just wish it was like it used to be, and you do get good buyers most of the time…. that makes it seem worthwhile – for about 15 minutes anyway LOL Anyway good luck to you and thanks for letting people rant.
I have over 2500 positive feedback’s on my account so have a clue what your talking about….. Ebay is changing to where its stacked against the sellers…. With PayPal they make it so buyers can screw the sellers… I don’t use ebay as much as I used to… I sell a lot of cars and have blown off ebay…. Craigslist is where I sell cars now – No fees and scammers trying to rip me off… I am to the point now that I will not sell anything on ebay unless it is truly collectable or rare…. If its common I just send it out to the trash… Common household stuff doesnt sell well and the fee’s eat your profits….
