I looked at a room for rent in Philadelphia. The house is owned by a person who said they travel most of the year and are at the house only a few weeks each year. They want a security deposit about a month before moving in. How can I find out if the person is legit or if they are going to take my money and run? He wants a month to month deal, but I don’t think the guy has a rental agreement for me. He said that once he gets the deposit he will give me a key to the house. If I printed up a sample rental agreement found online and made him sign it will it hold up as a legal document?

I came home to find my cat’s leg broken. After a long visit to the vet, it’s quite obvious he will need an surgery. His tibia and fibula are broken and displaced. I could opt for a splint, however the vet said there was a 60% he wouldn’t heal properly given how displace it was. I already payed 0 for the Xrays, the overnight stay, shots … ect. The surgery will cost roughly 00.

Does anyone have experience with this? I am hoping for advice concerning:

1.) Should I search for a cheaper vet? He’s only 1 1/2 and I don’t have a clue about prices in the area (Nashua NH).
2.) Could a bargin down the surgery cost? I really have no clue. Money is not too much of an issue – however, it’s still a large chunk of cash.
3.) What should I expect when he comes back?

I guess I’m just really worried about my boy and want to hear other people’s experiences.
If I remember correctly, I’ll talk to the surgent on Monday, the cat should have a full recovery with the full treatment. And I cannot amputate my cats leg. He’s only 1 1/2.

My husband and I have needed to see some sort of marriage counselor, probably for years. I’ve been daunted by the task of finding someone, and also by the potential cost. He is willing to go and has suggested marriage counseling in the past, if I find someone.

A little about us: We are both 29 years old and have been married for 6 years. We have a 17 month old. I am a Christian, he ‘believes in God’. He served in the military, and got out 5 years ago, but did not fight in war (so thankfully no post traumatic stress disorder from that). I have been diagnosed by several doctors with anxiety, OCD, ADD (so no, it’s not in my head… or is it?) He now calls me a hypochondriac where he used to be (sort of) supportive.

He is an alcoholic but I think we have both been in denial about that for a long time. He currently has drinking under control where he can say no even if he really wants to drink. I had no experience with people who drank more than socially so I didn’t know what to look for. I believed him when we first got married when he said that even though he ‘was’ an alcoholic he no longer was (when I thought AA said you always were?). He uses chewing tobacco and is really addicted to that (he has a long term plan for quitting…).

I think we would both be comfortable with the pastor of my church, but we don’t go very often, and it might be kind of nice to have some sort of separation from the rest of my family who attends.

I am not sure what kind of questions to ask in my search? What kind of accreditations or training to look for? It would be helpful to hear from other people who may have had similar life circumstances and how you dealt with issues that came up because of them. Thank-you!

Please star if one of your contacts is one of the two Basset People I’ve seen on here..thanks.

My hubby and I decided on a Basset begining of next year will begin our search. My husband has had bassets before but it was his family’s dog and that was decades ago…so he’s not sure on what to expect in cost from a reputable breeder’s pet quality pups. We both are realistic and know it will be above ,000.

Also other then OFA/CERF, what other testing needs to be done? I’m well aware of the Breed club of America and its breeders listed there, I’m looking on answers from the breeders.

What do you look in a potential home for one of your "pet" quality pups?
What sort of references do you ask and check for?
Does the buyer have to have their own home/buying their own home or will a stable environment do?
Would they sell to someone with a small child-toddler maybe?

I’ve heard of people saying some reputable breeders ship…I’m iffy on that…I’m afraid of being scammed by a fake "reputable show" breeder. We are willing to travel to the surrounding states around us- to major close cities near us.

Err what else…I feel as I’m loosing some of the questions I had thought out before asking this…

Do you have your pups spayed or neutered BEFORE leaving for their new home or is that in the contract? We have no qualms with neutering or spaying, my yorkie is neutered.

What are some of the outlines of your puppy contract?

I was sure there were more questions in my head that just totally went out the window when I started writing this..I will add more details later.

Thanks to all that answer and yes before anyone says anything we are considering adopting if we can’t find a reputable breeder and I’ve done research on the breed- I’m looking for specific answers that people that breed them or have bought from reputable breeders can answer.

I suppose I might need to ask if any of you would sell to someone that has a toy breed? I know some rescues don’t like it I don’t know about any breeders though. My yorkie playmates are 50+ pound dogs.

My hubby is set on a basset and I think a basset would be a nice addition to our family. I’m not a meek little person. Again he has experience with the breed, we both have done our homework and I’ve worked with them in shelters- obviously no well bred ones but still. This isn’t a sudden thing, its been a process in the making for over a year. So its not one of those Get now and worry about it later sort of thing. Thanks.
Omg, thank you so much, Santa Basset, finally someone that is a Basset Breeder!

Here’s an astonishing read. Important and verifiable information :
The host said to Forbes, "I am going to ask you a direct question and I would like a direct answer; how much oil does the U.S. have in the ground?" Forbes did not miss a beat, he said, "more than all the Middle East put together."

The U. S. Geological Service issued a report in April 2008 that only scientists and oil men knew was coming, but man was it big. It was a revised report (hadn’t been updated since 1995) on how much oil was in this area of the western 2/3 of North Dakota, western South Dakota, and extreme eastern Montana ….. check THIS out:

The Bakken is the largest domestic oil discovery since Alaska ‘s Prudhoe Bay, and has the potential to eliminate all American dependence on foreign oil. The Energy Information Administration (EIA) estimates it at 503 billion barrels. Even if just 10% of the oil is recoverable… at 7 a barrel, we’re looking at a resource base worth more than …3 trillion.

"When I first briefed legislators on this, you could practically see their jaws hit the floor. They had no idea.." says Terry Johnson, the Montana Legislature’s financial analyst.

"This sizable find is now the highest-producing onshore oil field found in the past 56 years," reports The Pittsburgh Post Gazette. It’s a formation known as the Williston Basin , but is more commonly referred to as the ‘Bakken.’ It stretches from Northern Montana , through North Dakota and into Canada . For years, U. S. oil exploration has been considered a dead end. Even the ‘Big Oil’ companies gave up searching for major oil wells decades ago. However, a recent technological breakthrough has opened up the Bakken’s massive reserves….. and we now have access of up to 500 billion barrels. And because this is light, sweet oil, those billions of barrels will cost Americans just PER BARREL!

That’s enough crude to fully fuel the American economy for 2041 years straight. And if THAT didn’t throw you on the floor, then this next one should – because it’s from 2006!

U.S. Oil Discovery- Largest Reserve in the World

Stansberry Report Online – 4/20/2006

Hidden 1,000 feet beneath the surface of the Rocky Mountains lies the largest untapped oil reserve in the world. It is more than 2 TRILLION barrels. On August 8, 2005 President Bush mandated its extraction. In three and a half years of high oil prices none has been extracted. With this mother load of oil why are we still fighting over off-shore drilling?

They reported this stunning news: We have more oil inside our borders, than all the other proven reserves on earth.. Here are the official estimates:

- 8-times as much oil as Saudi Arabia
- 18-times as much oil as Iraq
- 21-times as much oil as Kuwait
- 22-times as much oil as Iran
- 500-times as much oil as Yemen

- and it’s all right here in the Western United States .

HOW can this BE? HOW can we NOT BE extracting this? Because the environmentalists and others have blocked all efforts to help America become independent of foreign oil! Again, we are letting a small group of people dictate our lives and our economy…..WHY?

James Bartis, lead researcher with the study says we’ve got more oil in this very compact area than the entire Middle East -more than 2 TRILLION barrels untapped. That’s more than all the proven oil reserves of crude oil in the world today, reports The Denver Post.
Don’t think ‘OPEC’ will drop its price – even with this find? Think again! It’s all about the competitive marketplace, – it has to. Think OPEC just might be funding the environmentalists?

I was told in 5th grade that the man I knew was actually my step father, not my biological father. I consider him to be my father because it takes a real man to raise a child. I’m 24, at home in a small town with no job opportunities. Both my parents work out of town. No car, so I cannot search outside of town. I have 3 siblings, and the 2 youngest are the only full siblings.

The other day on facebook, my biological father found me through my second last name. He’s a 100% disabled veteran (army) and wants to make up for past dues. He wants to put me through school through the VA which would help with the costs, and also give me a check every month.

I want to go to Full Sail in Orlando, FL. for Game Development (We live a couple hours away). Bio-Dude suggested I live with him in Texas and his family. I cannot describe how mind-boggling this all is to discover I have 3 other half siblings that I do not share with those I grew up with. Most are significantly younger than me, and the oldest of the 3 doesn’t live with him, only his young ones do.

I guess Question is: How can I get to Full Sail? (They want me to pay upfront with about 4,000) Should I just go to Texas and take some course in programming?

(A couple things to mention, I have Asperger’s Syndrome, I’m not comfortable with people (At ALL, though it’s easier virtually), and I have an I.Q. of 167. I’m extremely intelligent and a very capable learner.)

I suppose it’s unusual to ask for advice in Yahoo! Answers, but I can’t speak to anyone about this, especially not my family. I told my mother, but all I got out of her was judgmental remarks, stubbornness, and a great dislike for bio-dude (My nickname for him, I have a father)

Help?

I’m asking this not for me…. I already know what I was supposed to do and what I really did…. but I want this to be read by as many people as possible so they understand our side of the story.

People love to hate the operators whom they have to call if they want to find a phone number or leave a message. I think it’s probably a fairly world-wide phenomenon.

Well, I’m one of those people and let me tell you what happened to me the other day and then tell me what you’d do.

This wasn’t Directories but a message left for a doctor from a woman who was worried about her husband. She had made numerous calls and had had no response.

I tried to comfort her as best as I could…explained that all I could do was take another msg but I would mark it urgent and that it is sent immediately. I spent more time with her than I would have normally but I was trying to reassure her that everything that could be done, had been done.

Here’s the kicker….it wasn’t a "real" call….it was a test call that the company does to test the service.

It was marked down as "unprofessional", "over-servicing" etc etc. and I had to endure yet another discussion with my supervisor about my work.

Every month we can receive a bonus if we get our work done within certain, prescribed times.

That call cost me to lose some of that bonus.

In one sense, I don’t regret it because I know I’ll probably do the same thing again and the next time, it may be real.

So what would you do?

The gulf between what they want us to do and what the caller expects and/or wants, is enormous and we’re the poor saps drowning in the middle.

So…would you be short, to-the-point (bordering on plain rudeness) and make maybe an extra 0 or more per month? or nice, take the time to make that extra search for a number or be extra nice to someone who’s stressed and NOT get that extra cash?

Dear World,

I’m a recent college graduate. I’ve come to discover there are no jobs in my field. I therefore got a very part time job. 10hrs a week up to 20. I’m making about the same amount I was making before college. Therefore, it seems my college education was a waste of money and time. I’ve always had the natural tendency to be melancholy, but lately it’s gotten a lot worse. Maybe it’s because I’m living at home. Maybe it’s the lack of money and my debt. Or it could be I’m singing the blues. Or maybe it’s my stupid part time job. Doesn’t pay the bills and I’m always on call so i’m pretty sure my boss hates me. I feel like the job is stressful and the work is okay but sucks the life out of me. Maybe I should quit. But there are no other jobs around. I’m serious! The fast food joints are not even hiring around here. Probably wouldn’t hire me now that I’m overqualified with a degree.

I’ve noticed some people seem happy all the time. That nothing gets them down. I wish I could be that way. I do try. But at times I think I see unhappiness in the smiling faces that are trying to sell me something. Like those girls in the mall There eyes look sad but they have a huge Smile pasted to their faces.
I want to be a nice person and I’m looking for some friendly advise. Perhaps, I’m crazy. I’m guessing I’m just having a break down. Or maybe I need to complain to the world at large.

You see I don’t know if anyone will read this. If they do hopefully they’ll say something from the heart.

Life just seems really difficult. I have no health insurance since my part time job offers none. I couldn’t afford it anyway if they did. I owe large amounts of debt. With no real way of paying it off. I spend all my free time searching and applying for jobs. I would go anywhere to get a decent paying wage. I’ve applied to so many places I’ve lost count. I’ve been sick lately with the flu and sinuses and if that’s not enough I have a terrible shoulder injury that makes lifting heavy objects painful. I know it will require surgery but the cost would be enormous. I’ll half to wait until I find a job with insurance to do anything about fixing it.

I’m asking the world. Are you guys all having a really tough time also? I hate to think I’m a total whimp. But it’s really hard lately. Perhaps if others share there doom and gloom I’d feel better. Not so alone.

I know what I half to do. Find a new job and think happy thoughts. All I know is those happy thoughts would come easier if I had a good paying job and money to pay off debt and go out and have some fun.

Love to the world. Thanks for listing.

Pathetic human on plant earth

I am writing this letter to draw attention to a travesty of justice. On June 16th 2007 at around 3am my sister, Rosemarie Russell was driving home from work on hwy 60. Her car was struck by a 2001 Lincoln that crossed the was driven by Christopher M Williams. He was Drunk at the time of the accident. My sister was killed by him. Also in the accident Mrs. Nyssa Davill was injured severely and unable to work. Mr. Williams is probation on in the state of Missouri. My problem with the situation is as of November 1, 2007 he Mr. Williams has not been Charged with anything at all. He(Mr. Williams) is still free and there is a husband that was married to her for nearly 30 years, a daughter that is disabled, a son and two grandchildren. No to mention her brothers and sisters, mother and the countless people that my sister new and loved. She was loved by many and respected in her work and the community. This Young man stole her from our lives and he has paid no cost for that, Everyday with out Rosie is a day missed. Why can he(Mr. Williams) walk free and my sister’s friends and family suffer. It is an injustice to people everywhere that a known criminal can be free to kill and face no charges. Is drunk driving not a crime that the state of Missouri thinks deserves their attention. Not to mention he took a life and changed the lives of many people. Is it justice that he is free? faces no charges?
I will attach the crash report, Mr. Williams information and a letter that was written

I am about to graduate from university in 2 months but unfortunately during the middle of my degree, I realized I have a bigger passion for something else. The only problem is I have no idea what the job is called so it’s hard to search for jobs connected to it! Let me explain…

I LOVE research but not the type of research that means I have to sit and study books for hours. I love finding things for people online, I can find bargains, accommodation, holiday destinations, venues, clothes, places to go, what to do, which things to buy, etc. Basically I love finding things that fit people’s specifications and needs and presenting them with the perfect final product. I love spending money for other people and helping them find what they need. I’m always the person who plans the holidays for my family, finds the accommodation, the cheapest and best quality car rental, the cheapest deal online that would normally cost a fortune in store, etc. So my perfect job would be if someone came to me with cash and said ‘Hey I need this. Can you find the best deal for me?’ or ‘Can you create the perfect itinerary for me’? I’ve looked at event management and travel consulting but though they have certain aspects of it, they don’t pin point the exact type of job I’m looking for. I just love the thrill and satisfaction of spending money on something I know is the best deal in town yet is of the best quality (not cheap goods) and ticks all the boxes. And I love to plan occasions and decide on what happens and where to go and what to buy. I just love planning!

Can anyone help me out and identify that job? Anything would help me get a little bit closer to finding a name for that job. Thanks! :)

How can I find a person’s employer? I posted this question and people said "ask them". I’m talking about people I don’t know. If I needed to find "Joe Blow’s employer" where could I go online without having to pay anything? I don’t need any other info. I just need to know the person’s employer if he/she is employed. Help.

Now, I know that I can’t really know unless I get diagnosed, but asking here could possibly help. (Should I see a psychology, my general doctor, or psychiatrist to get diagnosed? Or does it really not matter? [How much would a psych appointment cost? I have no health insurence and one regular appointment with my doc costs around ])
I find that thoughts of mine are constanty firing off. I will often do things like going to another room to get something but will forget what I wanted to get. Or I might be on the web and will think about searching for something on google. I’ll open up google but will find that I started thinking about something else and forget for a bit what I wanted to search for.
It is hard for me to read, write, or do most of any kind of school work. I can’t stay concentrated on what I’m suppose to do or on the topic.
I have horrible organizing, planning, or any kind of study skill.
I can sometimes get myself into a "zone" of concentration when I read or write but it is hard for me to get there and I’m screwed if the zone is messed up.
If I try to go to a library or bookstore to do my schoolwork, I cant begin on it immediately. I have to look around at people and things and books and kinda get myself settled first. But it still awfully hard for me not to look around when I actually get started. This also takes place at home.
Thank you

Thank you for taking the time to read my plea for help! Hello, I have no PC building experience and I plan to build a gaming computer from scratch. I have already planned out my build and it will cost 00, which is a pretty tremendous investment. So what I want to know is, is PC building really as easy as people say it is? After extensive searching on google, everyone seems to agrtee that "PC building is actually very simple." I plan to follow the instructions on this website:

http://elitepcbuilding.com/modules.php?name=How-to-Build-A-Computer&file=Install-Power-Supply

Basically my question is, is it easy? If not, is it a reasonable goal? Note that I have absolutely no PC building experience. It would be greatly appreciated if you could provide links to websites that may help, your own personal insight on the situation, or even discouraging words if you believe I shouldn’t go on with this. If anyone has the time, please see if this case would be appropriate for a beginner or if building the PC with my level of experience is even possible with a case design such as this. This is the computer case I am using:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119196

here is a detailed explanation of the case/specs:

Thank you for any and all input. I wish I could give full points to anyone who helps to provide information, but alas I can only choose one best answer. Words cannot express my gratitude. :)

Recapturing self sometimes takes a lifetime…

people go – in search of self…
lost….a crumbled marriage
fumbled from numb fingers
was it always doomed?
did it know
you were lost?
at what cost would you find?

self righteousness can blind you know
and self
left me while you
dancing
gracelessly
as would be
on a grave in the making

would you have changed,
rearranged a bit ?
no
always in control
dissolving what was me
into the whole

a breath of fresh air
I grow weak-kneed
falling
hitting bottom
reflections
awoken,swooned
while I danced
on the grave
of us

my resolution
I dunno if I am,
I am bothered by my reaction to everything, I a control freak
…ya know
and this was a reactive write to someone elses, so I think I am way over it and sometimes we write our past or something because it seems the thing to do at the time.
I am on my own
I like it
